I have the Takeya 40oz bottle in Grey with the bumper and I don't know what the person below me is talking about.

Maybe she got a lemon; but my bottle hasn't had any of these issues, and I've had mine for almost a year. I clean my gaskets and bottle regularly and still haven't had to replace my gaskets or bumper.

I haven't had to make any customer service claims for my bottle and I don't expect I'll have to when I buy my next bottle (which I plan to for my next college semester) unless I have shipping issues.

The only gripe I have is that their desktop website's performance is subpar. It is slow to load and hiccups just switching pages, and this is across multiple browsers.

Other than that, which I see to be a fairly minor issue, I like the experience I've had with Takeya and I love supporting a Japanese brand that cares about their products, design language and customers.

These are overpriced bottles that leak after about one months use. The gaskets go bad, the bumpers fall off the bottom and are gone, they dent easily and the straws last about 2 weeks. Notice that all the parts are for sale at high prices on the web site. Repeat business early and often with these particular water bottles.

Excellent product. Bought from the kid’s and adult active line. Also bought the children’s non insulated 4 pack - these are fantastic, better than any kid’s cup I’ve tried. The price point is better. Especially, if you buy a bundle during one of their sales. Does keep water cold and hot liquids hot, literally, no sweat (as they promise). No leaks. Love the handle. Customer service was top notch! No shipping delays during Covid19.
